"My paintings (acrylic on canvas) embrace physical sensation. I paint the sky and the sea, because both can be felt on the skin; as wind in the hair, as water on the skin, or as weather with its direct impact on our mood and emotion. It may be a misty morning at the seaside, that creates a feeling of comfort in front of the seemingly endless expanse of the ocean, or a wave, that appears as invitation to bath in it.Some onlookers might see a spiritual meaning in the sky as a link to the divine, or they might associate the sea with the mythology of the nymphs or with symbolic eroticism. To me, my artworks are about the sensual enjoyments of beauty. My motifs are inspirations collected during travels, e. g. to Italy, or they thrive from my phantasy, sometimes they are a symbiosis of both. Creating a painting is a vague idea, that – during the process of working with a brush with a lot of instinctive feeling, becomes the form of an individual motif.”
